About Us

Hotel FANTASY is located in the museum center of the city of Gjirokastra, conceived to be a 4-star hotel offering a more comfortable service for customers. The hotel offers a scenic view stone town, where you can enjoy the view of the castle, the old quarters of the city, the valley of the Drin and mountains that surround the city.

History

The history of the building begins with the building of the former Prefecture, which was burned down during World War II in 1943. Later during the years of communist dictatorship it was turned into a summer cinema. In 1996, the "Bar Restaurant Fantasy" was built, which operated until 2017. In 2018, with the approval of Unesco, as well as with the permission of the Institute of Cultural Monuments, the change was made to the "Hotel Bar Restaurant Fantasy".
